ZTE Corporation in partnership with Smartfren has made waves in the mobile network industry with the implementation of Native-AI-based RAN Computing. This groundbreaking technology has resulted in a 15% improvement in user experience and a 5% increase in network traffic.

As the demand for high-quality service applications grows, mobile networks face the challenge of delivering differentiated user experiences, such as high throughput for HD video and low latency for online gaming. This has accelerated the integration of artificial intelligence into RAN systems.

ZTE’s RAN Computing, powered by Native AI, brings communication and computing capabilities directly to the base station, maximizing the potential of the network infrastructure. By allocating radio resources based on service requirements and terminal capabilities, ZTE RAN Computing ensures an optimal user experience for various applications.

Shurish Subbramaniam, CTIO of Smartfren, commented on the successful deployment, stating that “introducing IT RAN into Mobile Network Infrastructure will create new opportunities to improve efficiency and user loyalty, ultimately stimulating traffic increase in the 5G era.”

Richard Liang, President Director of ZTE Indonesia, emphasized the continuous drive for innovation in wireless networks through collaboration with Smartfren, resulting in transformative solutions for Smartfren’s digital transformation journey.

Moving forward, ZTE and Smartfren will continue to collaborate on innovative solutions that will shape the digital landscape and contribute to the advancement of the digital economy.
