Singapore’s CyberBoost: Catalyse Program Accelerates 10 Cybersecurity Startups

Singapore is taking bold steps in bolstering its cybersecurity ecosystem by selecting 10 innovative startups from India, Singapore, the UK, and the US to participate in its first-of-its-kind CyberBoost: Catalyse program.

Launched on September 17 during an international cyber skills forum in the UK, this initiative is a collaboration between the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), the National University of Singapore (NUS), and UK innovator hub Plexal. The goal is to empower cybersecurity startups to expand beyond their home markets and make a global impact.

A Diverse Mix of Startup Talent

The selected startups represent a diverse range of cyber solutions, from seed-stage to Series B-funded ventures. Here are the chosen participants:

  • Antarex Cyber (Singapore)
  • Athenian Tech (India)
  • Cloudsine (Singapore)
  • CyberCyte (UK)
  • InsiderSecurity (Singapore)
  • Protos Labs (Singapore)
  • pQCee (Singapore)
  • Scantist (Singapore)
  • SQR (UK)
  • VulnCheck (US)

The program kickstarted with a launch event at the CyberSG Talent, Innovation, and Growth (TIG) Collaboration Centre in Singapore, a joint initiative between CSA and NUS that opened its doors in July 2024.

Empowering Growth and Innovation

Over the next six months, these startups will receive comprehensive support to attract investments, expand their global networks, and devise effective go-to-market strategies for new regions. They will also get the chance to participate in prestigious international events like the Singapore International Cyber Week and GovWare Conference and Exhibition.

Saj Huq, Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Innovation at Plexal, shared his enthusiasm for the program’s potential, stating, “Singapore’s status as Asia’s leading smart city and a hub for innovation makes it an ideal launchpad for startups looking to scale in the region and beyond. Together with CSA and NUS, Plexal is committed to helping these startups leverage Singapore’s dynamic market and explore opportunities in the Asia Pacific and beyond.”
