Fingerprint sensing offers accurate and cost-effective biometric performance, revolutionizing security in vehicles. Infineon Technologies AG introduces the new automotive-qualified fingerprint sensor ICs CYFP10020A00 and CYFP10020S00, designed to elevate the biometric security standards in automotive technology. Paired with Infineon’s TRAVEO T2G microcontroller family, these sensors deliver robust fingerprint identification and authentication capabilities.

Capable of operating in extreme temperatures, these sensors are engineered to detect finger touch-down and lift-off events with precision. With the option to track finger movements and double as a trackpad, the sensors offer versatile functionality. The devices support customization for different coatings and bezels, allowing for a tailored design approach. Encrypted fingerprint data output via an SPI interface ensures heightened security while remaining user-friendly.

Availability

The CYFP10020A00 and CYFP10020S00 sensors are now available, along with an evaluation kit (KIT-FPG1-T2G-B-E-2M). To learn more, visit www.infineon.com/psocfpg1. Experience these innovative sensors firsthand at Infineon’s global technology forum OktoberTech™ 2024 in Silicon Valley on 17 October.
