Attention all AirPods Pro 2 users – a brand new firmware update (v7A294) has just been released, and it’s packed with exciting features that you won’t want to miss out on.

One of the standout additions in this update is the integration of Siri interactions, allowing you to engage with your phone without needing to physically hold it. Using advanced machine learning on the H2 chip, the AirPods Pro 2 can now detect head movements like nods or shakes, enabling you to communicate with Siri silently. This is particularly beneficial for users in environments where speaking aloud is not ideal.

Plus, you can now get the AirPods Pro 2 (with hearing aid capabilities) at 24% off

Another notable feature utilizing the H2 chip is voice isolation, significantly enhancing the clarity of your voice during phone calls by eliminating background noise. Sounds like wind, running water, fans, or AC units will be greatly reduced or completely removed, ensuring crystal clear communication. Voice Isolation is automatically enabled.

Upon updating your firmware, you’ll also experience improved latency for gaming along with enhanced voice quality through 16-bit 47kHz audio for seamless discussions during gaming sessions. Furthermore, the Personalized Volume feature that adjusts audio levels based on environmental changes has been enhanced and now adapts over time.

Unfortunately, the Hearing Aid and Hearing Test functionalities are not included in this update. Although the FDA has approved AirPods as a software-based hearing solution, these features are expected to roll out later in the fall.
