“From mild to wild, our Creative Audio and Brand teams designed, iterated and tested a variety of different sounds to land the right vibe: a simple and iconic sound that’s designed to fit with every Reel.”
The process involved assigning emotional value to different sounds and creating a vibe that is intentionally punctuated, yet imperfect. It aims to reflect everyday creativity that doesn’t have to be flawless to be shared.
While the professional jargon like “brought a vibe” may raise some eyebrows, Instagram believes that this sound captures the essence of Reels, combining various sounds and emotions into a single auditory experience.
